With the increasing pressures of daily life, it is easy to overlook the influence our lifestyle can have on our health. When our stress levels increase, our health can suffer and it is important that we recognise when we may be out of balance. Tension can build up within us when we experience illness, exam's, house move, addictions, work/job pressures, financial worries, family problems, retirement, bereavement or just the day to day responsibilities we carry. These times can be difficult to handle and when we are not able to keep pace, this tension can lead to an increase of stress on our body's systems. Whilst stress is unavoidable, left unchecked, long term stress may lead to health problems such as digestive disorders, high blood pressure, lowered immunity, or physical and mental exhaustion. Complementary therapies can be a really useful tool in helping us to achieve a better standard of health and there is a wide choice of wonderful therapies available to us - therapies that can help us cope more efficiently on a physical, mental and emotional level, enabling us to heal and feel a greater sense of balance and achievement. It is my belief that by taking a pro-active role in restoring and maintaining our health we can become more motivated, creative and up-beat. I promote an holistic approach to health - caring for the body physically, mentally and spiritually and I am always happy to share my knowledge of the therapies I practice. The therapies I offer are Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Reiki and Hopi Ear Candling. These therapies are suitable for all ages and may bring relief from a wide range of physical and emotional conditions. You don't have to be ill to visit me. Many people visit just for the relaxation they receive. An initial visit will generally last 1 1/2 hours and the consultation will include taking a detailed medical history and lifestyle survey to establish the treatment for you. Subsequent visits generally last 1 hour. I believe that regular treatments help to reinforce the ability to take responsibility for our life and help us to make changes in our attitude and lifestyle to promote a happier and healthier life.

Note: All information is kept in confidence. The treatments I offer do not replace conventional medicine or the advice of a qualified medical practitioner. I do not diagnose and some conditions are contra-indicated. Always consult a GP for an acute or infectious condition and problems of an urgent nature. Continue with your prescribed medicine. The therapies I offer are complementary and work effectively alongside conventional healthcare, thereby allowing you more treatment options. If you have any queries as to the suitability of a therapy for you, please contact me and I will be happy to discuss this with you. | |
